post 10:This week in science(fruit fly investigation set up)

This week in science me and my group observed our vile of fruit flies I noticed that alot of them has alot of larvae and pupa's but they don't have any more flies yet I also made a bar graph with Marc and a chart about our observations with David.

This week in science I learned how to take some space on a graph because Marc doesn't like tiny graphs.I also learned that my cellar spider cant live that long with my other spider paradise because it kills it and now my cellar spider is dead.

Post 9: This Week in Science (Fruit Flies Part 2)

This picture shows a diagram of how much fruit flies they would be in a certain number of days.

This week in science me and my group finally got a chance to put the spider inside of the tank. When I first chose the spider I noticed that it only had 7 legs and when we showed Mark he said that it will grow back.We was trying to decide a name for it I wanted to name it Isabella but the other people didn't want to so we all chose Paradise. This week in science I also got a chance to put fruit flies to sleep by using a little bit of carbon I think and then separating them and putting them inside of a jar. Also this week we made a chart on how much eggs our fruit flies will make a day and how much eggs they make and how much eggs those eggs make.

This week in science I learned that fruit flies lay 20 eggs each day and I also learned that spiders grow back their body parts. This week in science I also learned how to tell the difference between a female and male fruit fly to tell the difference you have to look at the bottom of their little bodies and you will see that one of them is darker then the other and that is the male.I learned that fruit flies have different color eggs black, red well that's all I noticed.

Post 8:This week in science(fruit flys part1)

This week in science I got a chance to see my spider habitats and I noticed that the red spider came back I was always wondering where was it hiding I noticed a few things like our slug died and more plats started to grow even more.also this week in science I got a chance to see some fruit flies in a vile I saw the larva and the pupa but I didn't get a chance to see any eggs because they was hiding to me it was gross

This is a picture of a male and female cartooned version of a fruit fly.

This week in science I learned about how long it takes for a female fruit fly to mate(2 days after it turns into an adult).I learned how many days it stays as a larva, egg, pupa and adult and when you add them up it equals to 16 days. Also this week in science I learned how to tell the difference between a female and male the females legs are longer and the males abdomen is dark at the bottom.

Post 7:This Week in Science (Ecosystems)

this is a picture of our spiders habitat
this is a picture of our red spider aint it pretty
this is my group looking into our habitat looking for the red spider

For the past two weeks we went to a garden to find organisms to put into our spider habitats my group found lots of worms ,centipedes, millipedes ,snails and slugs.my group was the only group to find some spiders though we found 2 of them at first we found a red one then we found a cellar spider.also for the past two weeks we have drew what we wanted our habitats to look like and we also drew how the actual habitat looks.

For the past two weeks i learned that the red spider that we found eats pill bugs and the cellar spider we found can kill the red spider by wrapping its long legs around it or something like that.I also learned that everything inside of the tank can still survive even if the top is covered with plastic wrap stuff you have to put some type of plant inside so the organisms could take the oxygen and give out carbon and the plant could take that in.

im still wondering how long will it take for all of the living organisms to die out?And im very concerned on how long are we going to wait to get the actual spiders for the habitat ?what exactly are we waiting for?are we waiting for everything to die out?or are we waiting for all off the plants to start growing.

Post 5:This week in science (carrying capacity and relationships)

This week in science I had to view 3 of my classmates blog and write inside of my notebook about wheater or not this persons blog is good and if they did it correctly with enough details.I also played this game called Oh Deer, some people had to be deers and the other was natural resources like food water and shelter.we had to turn around and when they do the count down whatever you and the other person have you have to run to them and bring them back to where you started and they turn into a deer. And the people that's left they turn into natural resources.

This week in science i learned about predators/preys,mutalism,commensalism and parasitism i learned about what they do and how they do it to survive .i also learned how different types of organisms interact with each others when a predator is hungry they would attack its prey.

Post 4:This week in science energy pyramid

This week in science I drew my animals food chain and its energy pyramid. At first I didn't know exactly what they ate and if there consumers ,primary consumer's or anything but then I sorta got it.As I was confused and when I asked Mark he said to go look it up and I just asked Melody instead. But when I was drawing my energy pyramid it was easier since I had the food chain to guide me.But I sorta got confused by the percentage,I wasn't sure where exactly 2 put it.

I learned that the sun is where everything gets its energy from plants get it from the sun and when some type of animal eats that it takes some of the energy and passes it on as other animals eat each other.I also learned that a food chain is when a animal eats another animal and another animal eats that animal and the last animal that eats the animal before ate all the animals.

Post 3:My fantasy Habitat

This week in science I search up an jelly fishes biome.I had to find out the different biotic and abiotic stuff that lives around it.Then i changed it because i thought i couldn't find anything about it so i changed it to a tropical bird but i didn't like that one so i changed it back into a jellyfishes and it turns out lots of stuff lives around it.after i got all of this figured out i drew my jellyfishes and coral and little fishys.

I learned that some jellyfishes are very deadly because i read that one of them lets a a type of poiseness when they feel threatened and it kills the person instantly.and i learned that jellyfishes are bouncy because in finding nemo dory and marlin was jumping up and down racing to see who's gets to the end first marlin won but noticed dory didn't get to the end so he went back after her.
